Filmmaker based in Bristol, UK

I've worked as a professional filmmaker now for just over three years, but i've been passionate about the art form since I bought my first camera at 14.

My first projects were filmed whilst I was at school, including promotional videos for local charities, experimental shorts, and documentaries.

After finishing school I attended Bristol University to study an undergraduate degree in Film and Television, from which I graduated with first class honours. During my time at university I began to grow my name and experience as a professional freelance filmmaker, working on both corporate and commercial projects, as well as independent art-films. I worked on these alongside projects created for my university course which included three short films, all of which I directed

In 2022 I worked as Director of Photography on the feature film The Broken Arrow, an independent British comedy about a one-armed darts player. Whilst low budget, and only my second feature film job, the experience I gained from working on a set where time was expensive and communication vital was invaluable. The first feature I DoP'd was called My Constant Shadow which explored an MS diagnosis, shot with zero budget. Again the skeleton crew and opportunity to work closely with the Director was incredibly beneficial. I learnt the importance of on-set positivity, problem solving and adaptability where uncontrollable situations or difficulties can easily arise.

Using this learnt experience, I recently decided to write and direct my first formal project: a short film called Flat. A comedy drama about a pair of flat earthers, called Colin and Wayne, that follows their attempts to prove the earth's 'true' shape. I was also Director of Photography for the project (stills from which you can see on the home page of my website) as well as co-editor. It is now in early stages of development for a potential TV series. â€‹

I am also an experienced corporate and commercial filmmaker, working for companies such as Dramanon and Earth Trust. I have produced training videos, promotional films, and adverts.

I have also developed my own approach to filming 'table reads'. An approach that involves a close understanding of the script being read and reflects the beats and motions of that story in the shot size and movement of the multiple cameras capturing the reading.

I also have experience in Music Video production.

There is a link to Flat, my most recent project, on the home page of my website if you would like to see an example of my most recent work.

Please contact me if you wish to see examples of my corporate work.

I film on the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Pro 6k. It produces an industry standard image quality that is sharp with beautiful dynamic range.

I own basic lighting as well with two Aputure 60x s's

I also own a drone. A DJI Mavic 2 Pro.
